As an only child it was quite the shock to marry into my wife's large, and sometimes loud family. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and kind though, including her cousin Amanda Lee. When my wife and I got married Amanda had three sons who she loved dearly, but all she ever wanted was a little girl. On October 30, 2013 Amanda gave birth to twins, another son Kyler, and finally a daughter, Kaylee.

Kaylee is an adorable little girl, a true miniature version of her mother, but unfortunately she was born with a heart defect. She has no left ventricle and only three chambers in her heart. With only three chambers her heart is not strong enough to properly pump oxygenated blood to her extremities which causes her to tire easily and she struggles to stay warm. She has already had two open heart surgeries to try and correct the defect.

The money rasied will be used to pay for the surgery and any related expenses as Amanda will be out of work without pay while Kaylee recovers. The surgery will occur between Thanksgiving and Christmas so the money raised will be needed around the holidays.
