Cancer Fund

My name is Shawn Holy Rock and I am from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. I recently graduated from Red Cloud High School Class of 2016. I started school at Western Dakota Tech. in Rapid City, SD in August of 2016. Then in September I found out I had Stage 3 Testicular Cancer and it has turned my life upside down. I had to withdraw from college, which I have been looking forward to all through high school. I have already had to 1 surgery to remove some of the cancer. I am now receiving Chemo treatments in Rapid City and will continue to receive Chemo treatments periodically through October and November. I will be making lodging in Rapid City, for a total of 4 weeks, which is almost 2 hours away from my home so that I can receive the treatment needed to save my life. My mother has had to take time away from her primary work that has supported us for as long as I can remember. I am asking for any support to help my family get us thru this struggle in our lives. I have just started the Intense Chemotherapy and I know this will be a road ahead for my family and I, but am very grateful and appreciative of any support at this time. Wopila! (Thank You)
