Let me tell you the story about a determined young woman and adversity. Carol is a person that I will always admire because no matter what life throws her way, she powers through it! She has spent more than the last 20 years in a concentrated effort to raise her family despite the abscence of support from those that could have made a big difference. Now comes her greatest challenge!

2016 has been a difficult year so far.  Carol's Aunt succumbed to Cancer in the beginning of April and then came Mother's Day bringing the unexpected diagnosis of Cancer for her Mother who passed away only a week later! Pushing on through unimaginable emotional distress has now been {{{ !unbelievably! }}} trumped by HER OWN diagnosis of non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma!

In mid-July 2016 she went to the Dr. because her chest and neck hurt and she was having trouble breathing. She went to the Dr. to get some help. She didn't go to the Dr. to find out that she cannot support her family. This diagnosis has been devestating!

Carol is a single Mom. She has raised her 4 children and 3 of them are still at home. Her oldest is closing in on his Bachelor's Degree, working his way through college and doesn't live at home any more. That's him in the picture with Carol. We are so proud of him!

The remaining three children range between 16 and 13 years of age.  Last year, her 16 year old Daughter gave her a beautiful Grand Daughter.  Her house is full of kids, some of them hers, some of them not but, they all depend on her.

She has completed her second week of Radiation Therapy. She grows weaker and weaker and cannot do very much here lately. We try not to worry but it's hard not to. How will she be able to run her household when she can't work?

Being a single Mom is challenging and we have watched her struggle financially. The children's father has been a non-contributor in all aspects.

Carol does not have family members that can help her financially.  Her Mom is gone.  Her Dad is very sick in the hospital for years now.  She has no brothers or sisters. She is the only means of support to her household.

We are reaching out to anyone who can find it in their heart to donate any amount of money they can afford to Carol's Family's survival.  We have no idea how long she is going to be sick?  This family will need to get through this until she can get well.

This money will be used to sustain Carol's family. To provide shelter, utilities, clothing, and transportation to her treatments.  Carol and her family MUST be able to meet the basic necessities and the unforseen.

She has worked hard to be an independant woman.  She has worked hard for her children.  Please help this one-income family survive this Disease's effect.
