Sofia's Medical Fund for a Brace

My daughter Sofia was diagnosed with Scoliosis in January of 2013.  Sofia is now 10 years old and loves to ice skate, do gymnastics and swim.  After seeing an orthopedic doctor we discovered that her spinal curvature was 28 degrees off normal.  We ended up getting the spine cor brace. It helped bring down the degree of her back curvature.  Since moving back to Buffalo, NY to be with family, we have different insurance and because of the high deductible we could not afford to get her a new brace because she grew out of the one she had prior to moving. Now our new insurance does not have the orthopedic rider so it will not cover her brace. It has been heartbreaking for my husband and myself in that we can't get the help that she needs to improve her back because of the insurance and the cost out of pocket. She has been without a brace for 8 months because of not having the coverage needed on our insurance. It is a tremendous expense on our family. We would gladly accept any contribution with exceeding gratitude and appreciation for your help and donations for Sofia.
