Joey Britt's Medical Fund

Anyone who knows Joey Britt, knows the charismatic, caring, fun-loving man he is. A hard worker for his family, wife Karen and children Sean and Holli, he did so with a smile on his face. Active in his church and the local Gideon chapter, Joey loves the Lord with all he has. On August 9, he and his family's world forever changed. After having some issues with memory and balance for a few weeks, Joey went for a check up, little did he know what would come of it. An MRI of his brain showed everyone's worse nightmare, a brain tumor. Within the next few weeks a whirlwind of events would take place. A biopsy and three brain surgeries later, not only did he have the diagnosis of a stage four glioblastoma, the most aggressive form of brain cancer, a follow up MRI showed the cancer had already started spreading in his brain. The aggressive nature of the cancer required an aggressive removal of the tumor, the tennis ball sized tumor was removed and left Joey with limited use of his right side, vision changes and increasing memory problems. His family have been by his side through it all, his wife Karen, unable to work because he needs 24 hour care. Now, with increasing number of medical bills and the need for radiation and chemo, the family is in financial need.
