.Hi this is the first GoFundMe we have ever made. This was not organized by Sue, this was organized by Susan’s Stop & Shop Family. (I just can’t figure out how to fix my mistake..)

This is a story about my friend, Sue and her husband Dan.

 

I have known and worked with Sue at Stop & Shop for many years. Sue and her husband are wonderful, hardworking, and caring people. They are always ready to lend a helping hand at any given moment. Now they need our help.

 

Sue has always been there through tough times especially when her husband became disabled by unfortunate events. Even through the difficult time, Sue goes to work, cares for her husband and others.

 

This past month Sue had some tests done when she had difficult breathing. Unfortunately, the test came back devastating, with her being diagnosed with Stage 3 Lung Cancer. Sue has already gone through 2 painful procedures that took out 3+ litres of fluid from the lungs. Sue also had a brain MRI done and a tumor was also found. This brings Sue to early Stage 4 cancer.

 

Sue has begun to fight this devastating battle against Lung Cancer. However, due to the treatments and many doctor appointments, Sue is unable to take on as much work. She supports both her husband and herself through her part-time job. With the level of treatments and pain Sue is going through, she had to decrease the amount of hours and days she can work. Sue being the financial supporter of both them, they have started falling behind on their mortgage and utility bills.

 

Now Sue needs our helping hand to care and support her during these difficult times. To help her power on through and support her with her treatments and home life. Every little bit helps. Sue and her husband thank you for the help.
