Hi, my name is Lakhia Fuller and I am 3rd year student at North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine. I am a 2019 graduate of Winston- Salem State University, and a 2021 graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

In March I will be traveling to the Galápagos Islands! This unique opportunity will allow me to immerse myself in much of the natural history and cultural offerings of the unique, equatorial archipelago. While on this trip I will be attending lectures, laboratory sessions, and learning excursions that will cover a wide variety of zoological and medical topics dealing with native invertebrates, fishes, reptiles, birds, and mammals. This opportunity is not just a personal aspiration but a profound opportunity to expand my horizons, immerse myself in new cultures, and gain a global perspective on the subjects I'm passionate about. It's a chance to broaden my knowledge, challenge my comfort zone, and develop skills that will undoubtedly shape my future career as a veterinarian.
