Steve Carlson's Funeral Costs

Hello Everyone,

Helen Carlson is one of my closest and dearest friends and she is going through one the toughest times of her life.  As many of you know, her husband Steve had a stroke in June and after many months of being in the hospital, rehab and a nursing home he was getting a lot better, he even came home on Labor Day for a few hours.  A couple of weeks ago, he was sent to the ER to drain the fluid from his stomach and after many tests it was determined that his liver cancer was back and spread to the lining of his stomach, there is no cure.  The doctors gave Helen and Steve the terrible news that Steve has a couple weeks to live at best.  I have known Helen for over 25 years and she is one of the strongest women I’ve ever known and she would help anyone in need without a second thought.  With this in mind, she would never ask for help herself so I am asking for her.  Being at Steve’s side throughout this time, she has not been working and the medical bills, household bills and so on have been piling up.  Also, Steve does not have life insurance and knowing that she will soon have to pay for a funeral is increasing her stress.  I want to help her out as much as possible and in any way that I can so I am asking all of you to please reach deep into your heart and put yourself in Helen’s shoes and give as much as you can.  Helen and her daughter Shannon deserve to spend these last few days with Steve in peace until Jesus calls him home.
