Hello friends and family. This week has been a very devastating week for us. On May 4th my sister Kawiya who is a mother to a five-year-old boy was involved in a horrifying car accident. On her way back home from work, there was semi-truck in front of her on the highway. The semi-truck that was going 75 miles per hour quickly stopped, and my sister ran into it. Her vehicle rolled several times before splitting into pieces throwing her out. She was laying there helplessly before the paramedics arrived. She was quickly given oxygen and taken to the Emergency room where she was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The doctor informed us that she is the sickest person at the hospital right now. The trauma has put her in a very critical condition causing her to be unconscious and leaving her in a coma since the accident occurred. As of now she’s still in a coma. Right now, a surgery is needed to be performed on her brain to reduce the pressure that’s causing it to swell. Although her organs are severely bruised, the head surgery is needed to be done right away so she can wake up. Any amount of donation can help towards her emergency surgery.
