HAITI RELIEF - COTEDIH - MEYOTTE

The damage in Haiti is extensive and the destruction Hurricane Matthew left behind is severe.  We here in the US who have served in Haiti and built relationships with the children and families are also devastated.

There is not enough that we can do quick enough. They need us NOW

We know and understand the challenges they face with the lack of basic necessities.  We traveled to serve there years after the effect of the Earthquake of 2010 and saw with our own eyes how damaged the country was so many years later.  and now this has happened......

Our team is from New York and went to Haiti as a part of a team from CenterPoint Church in Massapequa.

Our hearts were affected and forever changed in our first visit in 2015 and we vowed to return to continue to work together - which we did in 2016. 

This hurricane has now left behind an extensive trail of illness, lack of shelter, loss of crops, little to no food and death.  We will return in February 2017 to do all we possibly can to help Pastor Louighins and continue to support his work for the 3rd year - But we need to act NOW.... we are trying to provide funds for basic needs (food, clothing and medical care) as well as to begin repairs immediately.  

How will the money be used:
-There are 70 families in Pastor Louighin's community that he helps support - they are located across the communities of Meyotte and Cayes.
-They need funds for: food, clothing and rebuilding of their homes.

Please help us as we do all we can here in the USA to let them know our hearts hurt for them, we understand and we want to serve them in their time of need.  May we continue to find ways to empower them to rebuild their country.

The powerful Hurricane Matthew left in Haiti very heavy damage.  Thousands of people were displaced to be placed in temporary shelters in the affected areas. The damage and destruction of infrastructure and plantations is very heavy, said the Interior Minister of Haiti. He also encourages National and International solidarity. It is in this sense that the Cooperation Of Evangelical Theologians for Integral Development Of Human “COTEDIH” invites you today to contribute together to give substantial support to 70 families affected by this storm recorded in its intervention areas in the South in Cayes-Simon and the West in Port-au-Prince. Your donations will give us the opportunity to buy food, clothing, toiletries, beds, chairs and materials to relocate these families in their homes that were destroyed and damaged."
