My name is Brandon Larmond, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart from Westmoreland, Jamaica. My mother and I were among the many families devastated by Hurricane Melissa, one of the most powerful storms to ever hit our island. The hurricane’s fierce winds and torrential rain tore through our community, leaving widespread destruction and heartbreak in its wake.

Our roof was completely ripped away, leaving us exposed to the rain and harsh weather. Every time it rains, water pours into our home soaking our belongings and making it nearly impossible to live safely or comfortably. Despite our best efforts to patch things temporarily, the damage is far beyond what we can manage on our own.

This fundraiser will go toward replacing our roof, repairing the interior damage, and restoring basic living conditions so my mother and I can have a safe place to call home again. Every contribution no matter how small will help us move one step closer to stability and peace of mind. The funds will be spent specifically to purchase zinc, zinc nails, solitex for our ceiling and siding boards for our walls.
