April 16th 2016 our families lives changed forever. Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer that had already started to spread. Even with treatment doctors only gave mom another year-year 1/2 with us. Mom wasted no time and started the intense rounds of chemo and radiation treatments. Mom watched her entire body change into someone completely different, but she remained in good spirits. Mom kept a smile on her face while she was fighting the good fight.
Moms greatest joy is being "Nana" her grandchildren Breann, Lilly, and Justin Jr mean the world to her, and for them she never gave up. In December mom started to have more and more complications and has been in and out of the hospital. Doctors said the treatments were no longer working, so mom was transferred to Hospice care. Last week doctors let the family know that moms battle would soon be coming to an end
