Chasing A Cure

Hello! My name is Caden Connelly and I'm a 19 year old student at the University of Nebraska. In November of 2021 I was diagnosed with an incurable form on Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. My journey with cancer has been filled with ups and downs, but at my lowest I vowed to continue to push myself as I worked towards a future. That is why my organization "Chasing A Cure" is raising funds for pediatric oncology patients and their families this fall, as I attempt to run a half marathon in November. An accomplishment that seemed impossible just two years ago.

As I attended doctors appointments, tests, and treatments I was exposed to the world of pediatric oncology. A diagnosis that is already life changing, but for many, forces them to make unthinkable sacrifices because of new financial burdens. That is why all funds raised will go to "Angels Among Us."

Angels Among Us is a charitable organization located in Omaha, Nebraska that supports families dealing with childhood cancer by covering living expenses. This includes things like rent, mortgage, or car payments. This allows parents to spend more time caring for their children during such a trying time.
