Retired Fire Fighter falls on hard times and is in need of funds for Dialysis transportation costs and other medical bills that are piling up. Wally Kriesant has touched a lot of people’s lives. He served our country in the military, then became a mailman in Wilmette, IL, and shortly after, managed to get on the Fire Department in Wilmette. Ten years later, he moved to Elk Grove Village and was a Fire Fighter there for 20 years when he retired in 1991. He was the master chef at the fire department, and even the police stopped in for lunch. Everyone loved Wally's cooking. After retiring from the Fire Department, he moved to Tomahawk and purchased a local tavern called the “4 Corners Tap”, which he currently owns.
Wally has just been discharged from a four month hospital stay for congestive heart and kidney failure. He is now at a rehab facility in Tomahawk, where he will stay until he can get strong enough to return home. He needs to be transported to his mother's hometown, Merrill, WI. for dialysis three days a week.
Wally’s wife is in an Alzheimer’s facility. His son John, has had to move from the only home he knew to a group home because of Wally’s illness.
Wally has been the president of the area Tavern League for many years. He has hosted and organized numerous benefits to help others. Now Wally needs our help.
All of the money raised will be used to help pay for medical bills, transportation costs, and other expenses that may be needed to get Wally on the road to recovery. Any amount you can give will be truly appreciated.
Thanks,
