Most of us know him as "Big Matt". He is a gentle giant who is mighty but quiet, strong and compassionate. Matt first went off work in June due to a serious back injury. He was able to have spinal surgery in early August but has since faced a life threatening medical issue. He was again admitted to the hospital in late August with severe abdominal pain. He has been in 6 hospitals this summer. 5 of those he was transported to. After 3 hospitals it has now been determined he had an aneurism that burst which caused the large hematoma on his pancreas and lower bowel. This is extremely painful and he has not rested comfortably in over two weeks.  several CT's they are still unable to stop the bleed which means it is getting larger. It is currently the size of a large water bottle. He is now on a feeding tube long term while his body tries to heal from a spontaneous bleed in his stomach area. He has faced so many medical challenges but refuses to give up. He will continue to fight to live while doctors closely monitor his medical issues.

BJ (Matts wife) is trying her best to care for their home, and two sons.  While off work to care for him she does not get paid, travel fees to care for him while in Indiana... medical bills even after insurance from the emergncy tranports to continue to save his life are adding up quickly.  Any help you can provide is greatly appriciated.. and prayers.... prayers are a huge help and support.
