Son-Rise for Chaim!
Donation protected
Hi!
My name is Chaim, and I would like to tell you a bit about myself. I am 6 years old and I have Autism, I am very affectionate and I love the outdoors.
Although I am very happy there are some things that hold me back; due to my Autism I struggle to build relationships and social situations are difficult for me, as my communication is limited by a lack of speech and understanding of the world around me. Changes in my routine or new situations overwhelms and causes me distress.
Two years ago my mummy and daddy were recommended to look in the “Son-Rise Programme”.
After implementing some of its many strategies there were obvious improvements. I am now able to spoon feed myself, communicate my needs better and my flexibility to new situations has improved.
As I now better understand I have become more tolerant of change and I show less challenging behaviours. I give more meaningful eye contact and I am making progress in areas of self-care.
Based on the milestones I have reached up until now and advice from professionals my parents purpose built a “Son-Rise” therapy room in order for me to properly start a full time one to one, forty-hour per week therapy programme. This requires the recruitment of facilitators, buying the necessary equipment and continuous training.
And with all of this it will help me to bring out my full potential. None of this will be possible without your generous donations.
Thank you!
Love Chaim
