Mid afternoon on October 4th the Rice residence caught on fire. The fire was caused by an egg incubator used in the for the kids homeschooling. Once Anthony realize that the fire was in the garage he tried to put it out receiving 2nd° burns on his hands. When he realize he was unable to put out the fire he grabbed all three kids and ran out of the house to get them to safety. He saved his children's lives. Jenny was at work at Jasper elementary when she heard the news and rush home. We are blessed and grateful that no one was seriously injured or even worse. They lost all of their belongings as well as my stepfather, Jim losing everything in his home office where he run his company. Today he walks around with muddy broken shoes. This was also the family home to so many of me and my siblings for so many years. I can't imagine having lived anywhere else or having my wedding anywhere else other than this home. It is the place of many memories where our family grew up from when we were little until now remind nieces and nephews can run around and play. and the material items may be gone but our spirits are high that the house will be rebuilt in the way that Jenny imagines. This is a saving grace. The family and my step dad are in need of so many items to rebuild their lives back slowly. Any donations greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much for your care and concerns.
