Jackson's oral surgery at BCH

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Stephen Costigan and I'm hoping to get some help for my son Jackson. He is an 8 year old boy in the 3rd grade, and he is scheduled to have an 8 hour surgery to replace all his teeth on November 11th. Jack's teeth don't have any enamel on them, so they are very small, yellow, and now are starting to disintergrate. His baby teeth were tiny, but we hoped that when his adult teeth came in, they would be normal.
To give you a little backstory about Jackson, he was diagnosed with scoliosis 3 years ago right before he started Kindergarten. It's rare for a child so young to have this problem, it's hard for him to understand what was going on( he did take the news a lot better that I did though). He has to wear a brace to keep his spine from curving any more, and then he'll likely need surgery when he stops growing. Every day he asks me how much longer he will have to wear his brace, and I just tell him I'm not sure, we'll see what the doctor says on your next visit. When he's really tired, it's impossible to get him back in his brace without him crying and telling me how unfair it is that he has to wear it. It's hard for an 8 year old to see the big picture, and how lucky he actually is. He is loved by a great family, he has a home, and lots of food to eat. That alone makes him a lucky person, not to mention all the people that are really sick or disabled, that would trade places with him in a heartbeat.
Last August, he was sick for a few days, and of coarse he ended up having to have his apendix removed. He has already dealt with more garbage than a little boy should have to. It's hard to listen to him tell me how the kids at school make fun of his teeth. They ask him why they are all yellow, and why are they so small, and why he doesn't brush them. Then he has to explain to them about tooth enamel, but they don't understand what he's saying, and just keep making fun of him. All he talks about is how excited he is to have his teeth fixed, and how he will be able to smile without being worried someone will make fun of him. Yesterday I got a call from Boston Childrens Hospital, and they told me my insurance was only covering 800$ and that I had to pay the other 9500$ by October 28th. I don't have enough money to pay for this, but I make too much money to qualify for aid. I would be more graetful than you could possibly imagine if you could help me make my sons dream come true. Even if you can't afford to give us any money, please keep my son in your prayers. He is an awesone kid and he deserves to be happy.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story.
