Hello, my name is Trista and I have finally decided it is the time to ask for help... Sooo... To start at the beginning, here is my story.
Unfortunately, I have been sick for a long while now. Over the years, doctors have not been able to pinpoint what is going on with my health and why I kept ending up in the Emergency rooms, Med Expresses or even ended up with lengthy medical stays in various hospitals.
Until the last year or so, doctors were at a loss of what was making me so lethargic and why I kept getting infections or getting very sick easily.
Last April, after much fighting and many different random treatment methods to try and boost my immune system and improve my standard of living, doctors decided to do exploritory surgery after being rushed to the ER about 3 times in a 5 day time span with internal bleeding which was causing very low bloodcounts...etc. What they found was that my body was growing tumors in my uterous and on top of that I have endometriosis. The endometriosis can be controled, somewhat, with constant medications for now if and when I can afford them. After finding the tumors, they did remove them in May 2015, in hopes that it would stop the bleeding issues and improve my overal health.
Here is where me asking for help comes in.
By August of 2015 the tumors began to grow again, and once more there is now bleeding issues internally, causing hemoraging (not gonna ick you out with the details on that part) and severe pain. Most days I find myself bed ridden and now the doctors want to do a hysterectamy. Without that, the tumors will continue to grow and I will continue to fight to keep my blood count up.
At this point they say that it isn't severely life threatening but it is something that needs done. The problem is that because I am a college student, I do not qualify for insurance, doesn't matter if classes are online or otherwise and I can't afford to pay for another type of insurance coverage. I can't get insurance through work because I am not allowed to work due to the bleeding issue but I can't afford to do anything without working, and I can't get the surgery without the insurance..yay catch 22. So they won't do the surgery unless I raise at least half of the money needed for surgery, which is between $5,000 and $10,000 USD.
Sadly, saving up is not an option, though I do try and work from home/bed via computer/online things. But being that I am still paying off the several surgeries and hospital stays every few months... which cost me upwards of $30,000 USD to give you a ballpark of medical bills on the low end that include all the treatments,surgeries, medical tests...etc...
I can bairly even feed myself.... let alone afford the surgery that I need to get if I want to actually be able to live my life.
I am only 30 years old...I don't want to be sick anymore...So, please.... if you can help, I would be eternally greatful, if not, please keep me in your prayers.
