Hi, my name is Olivia and I am fundraising for my mom. On the evening of December 12, 2023 an electrical fire started beneath her home. She was able to escape with her dog and two cats, but everything else has been destroyed.

The donations will be used to buy food, replace clothing, and help keep her sheltered in the coming winter months in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. The loss of photos, keepsakes- all the things that make a home a home- can not be replaced. Those can only be grieved.

Some funds will eventually go towards a new rental apartment. My mom has lived in the same apartment for over a decade in Bishop, California. This is a small community with an extreme housing shortage. Finding her a new place to live will be the greatest stress we face in the coming weeks.
