On Sept. 30, the aggressive and irresponsible actions of a hit-and-run driver led to Kathleen's vehicle being struck in a head-on collision that caused numerous broken bones in her ankle and foot, severe nerve damage, a broken rib, and bruises all over her body. Her five children also were in the vehicle. They were treated for minor injuries. The minivan was totaled and it's a miracle they all survived. The road ahead for Kathleen includes multiple surgeries followed by extensive physical therapy. Needless to say, she will not be home and with her children and husband for some time. For those who know Kathleen, will attest to how I'm about to describe her. She was put on this planet for her family. Kathleen's passion for her children and the world they live in is what drives her immeasurable spirit. She's a home-schooling mama that is beyond "hands-on" with her two daughters and three sons...she's mama...she's teacher...she's chef...she's baker...she's fairytale teller...she's secret keeper...she's laughter...she's tear wiper...she's wife....she's friend....she's change maker...she's advocate...she's steadfast...she's the strongest woman I know. Now to continue being all of those things, she needs to heal without worry.
