On October 3, 2016, Kate and her father Lee Kibodeaux went on their first father daughter fishing trip. Sadly, it would be their last. In an sudden boating accident her father did not resurface while Kate, severely injured, pulled herself on top of the capsized boat. She yelled for help and luckily the coast guard was close enough to come to her rescue. She was then transported to the hospital where it was determined she suffered a ruptured kidney, lacerated spleen, lung contusions, fractured ribs, internal bleeding, and multiple leg lacerations. She's in stable condition for the time being, but doctors are debating the removal of her spleen and kidney. To help accommodate Kate and her family with medical and funeral costs, we are hoping to collect enough money to at best ease the stress of this tragic event for her and her loved ones.
