Hi dear family, friends, and benevolent GoFundMe donors!

As many of you know, I have been on the path to becoming a psychotherapist for almost half my life now and I am finally licensed and ready to begin my dream job. I have recently been invited to join Santa Cruz Naturopathic Medical Center which is a holistic wellness center and exactly what I've been dreaming of for years. 

My passion and vision is to work as a holistic psychotherapist addressing mind, body and spirit. I will incorporate Reiki/energy medicine, Ecotherapy (healing through and with nature) and psychotherapeutic modalities to help bring lasting peace and healing to my clients. This is my calling in life and I'm so honored to be of service to those who come to me in need of support.

The only hitch is that I will be an independent contractor and, therefore, must come up with starting costs to afford renting a space, documentation/accounting software, business cards/flyers, insurance, and child therapy supplies. What is unique in our field, though, is that I have had to work for free for the 5 years it took me to gain the required 3,000 hours of experience to apply for my professional license. I gained those 3,000 hours working as a therapist at a high school, elementary school, and at a community agency but in our industry they are 100% unpaid. This has been an extremely difficult and humbling process and has left me with no savings to now start a practice. 

I would be so very grateful and humbled to gain your assistance in helping me to start this dream practice of mine. My goal is to gain the funds by November 1st as this is my start date at the center. Every cent will go towards allowing me to provide therapy services to as many people as I can who are in need of support. Thank you so much for your help!
