I love Jesus! I love the way He loves me and I love how He wants to bless me and surprise me everyday! One day you're just going day -to-day and then Jesus tells you it's time and He gives you a plan. I love that He's so simple. I love that He justs wants to bless us. He justs wants the best for us, the absolute best...all we need to do is just obey. Isn't He awesome?!
My name is Zack Ferrer, and I am starting the next chapter of my life in Kansas City, Missouri at the International House of Prayer University!
In January of 2016, I was praying and asking God what my next step should be. Society said I should be going to college or getting a full time job to support myself and move toward adulthood but I wasn't quite ready. So I continued to pray and ask for God's quidance and then my prayers were answered one routine afternoon in my hometown of Palm City, Florida.
God gives everyone a gift. My gift is music, more specifically the drums. The Lord says in Romans 12, "We have different gifts according to the grace given to each of us". I would like to use the gift of music to worship. I have always had a love for music and Jesus, but I never knew how to combine the two and make a living out of it.
So, what's next? I will be spending the next four years diving headfirst into the Forerunner Music Academy (FMA), where I will be "equipped to fill houses of prayer, local churches, and places of worship all over the earth with intercessory worship that reflects the worth of Christ and releases the power of God"(IHOPKC). As the academy description best explains, "students combine excellent musicianship with intimacy with Jesus, outworked on a worship team, in the context of 24/7 worship-based prayer. We are inspired by King David, who established and funded singers and musicians to sing and prophesy to God on instruments, day and night." How cool is that?
But I need a little help. I am heading to school this December. With your generousity, any funds raised will be used to pay for my travel costs, my first semester of FMA, and other educational expenses to get myself started in Kansas City. I cannot begin to express to all of you how thankful I am for this opportunity and for any support you can provide. Any donation at all is appreciated!! I cannot stress enough how much each donation, however big or small, makes such a difference.
