it is easy to remember a smile and a laugh..
it is easy to make a difference..
it’s never easy saying farewell or goodbye..
it’s never easy asking for help..
On December 31, 2015, many of us lost a member of our family. A family member in the traditional sense, Charlie Bakhsheshi was a mother, a daughter, a sister, and an aunt. Charlie was also a member of a larger family of choice made up of friends and co-workers. Continental Airlines was where she landed in 1986 and took off after an amazing 27 yr career in 2013. Friends made in LA Reservations, JAX Airport and IAH ATO Support Desk were for life. Her upbeat and kooky sense of humor both on and off the clock endeared her to everyone! Her friends included airline flight crews, waitresses at the Acapulco Restaurant, various customs agents, beach bartenders and assorted florists who supplied Charlie with an opportunity to surprise and delight. Anyone who fell into Charlie's gaze was greeted with a smile or a laugh larger than the woman herself.
Charlie, once so full of a life that country borders could not contain, is now sharing that laughter and spirit with those who departed before her.
But maintaining those smiles and laughter during an extended illness has created a financial burden for Charlie's family. In addition, the unexpected costs of making final arrangments takes on an added sense of urgency as those arrangements depend on full payment.
Please help the family manage these expenses by contributing to Charlie's memorial fund. Any amount is appreciated.
Thank you.
