John's Medical Expenses

Hello friends, 
I'm setting up this Go Fund Me page for my dear friend John Michael Kehoe. He and my best friend, Jessica Blackburn have been dating for a couple of years, and share a beautiful, easy and loving bond that is admirable. Tina and I were planning to have dinner with them the week of April 10th, but received news that John was in a severe car accident the night of April 13th. He suffered multiple fractures, but amazingly and thankfully, he survived and did not suffer any head/brain trauma. One look at the picture of his car after the accident will tell you how lucky we are that he survived.
However as of today, he is on day 12 of being in the hospital on the trauma floor. He was in surgury for over 6 hours, during which doctors used metal plates and screws to reconstruct his shoulder, wrist, and knee. In total, he sustained the following injuries:  broken left wrist, fractured left knee, shattered right shoulder, broken right leg, broken right ring finger, and a lung contusion. This means that he is completely immobile, as all four limbs are incapacitated while they heal.  He is on quite the list of medications, everything from pain management to shots to prevent clotting, since he can't get up and move around much. 

Many of you know John through his Massage Therapy business - his only source of income. Sadly, he is closing his studio in Carytown, as he will not be able to work for many, many months to come.  To complicate matters, he does not have any health insurance, and his medical bills are rapidly piling up. So he is in immediate need of funds to help pay for all of these expenses. 

The hospital hopes to release John this week, so Jessica will be making modifications to her home to accomodate his care. In addition to his medical expenses, they need to construct a ramp into the house, and set up regular visits from a physical therapist to help him recover and rebuild strength as his bones heal. Right now, we are asking for your donations to help begin to cover some of these expenses. We know they will go way beyond where we've set the fundraising goal, but hope that with your support, we can make this a little easier on John and Jessica.
