Supporting Rainy Dayz annual campaign -

Rainy Dayz has been in the gig harbor community since 2004, previously owned privately- the previous owner announced she was closing her doors in spring of 2014. Myself and many other parents were passionate about rainy dayz maintaining in the community for many reasons, but first and foremost it provided an opportunity for any child to be, learn, grow, with out any preconceived notion’s. Rainy Dayz was different. It was a safe community for many children and their families. If a parent was wanting to send their child’s learning aid with them to be integrated in to the learning system community, Rainy Dayz took them with open arms, and continue to do so, by working along side any specialist or resources provided by the family In a panic a group of parents, who needed Rainy Dayz for their child or children, spearheaded a campaign to get creative about keeping the doors open. We took a leap of faith, and myself and another parent formed a board of directors, and went to work to turn the school a for profit in to a non profit under the same mission. We were approved immediately, which says a lot for a profit turning in to a non profit. We are a play paced learning center who focuses on the whole child. Now more then ever children, and their parents need a community or safe place for their kiddos, and themselves. As we embark on our adventure in to our new permanent space and fulfill the dream we envisioned for our school in 2014, we ask you to please consider making a donation as an alumni, community member or fellow parent or business who wants to see every child thrive, to make up for the impact covid has on our non profit. The pandemic has nearly destroyed us, now twice. This is the time to remind ourselves of mothers of strong willed children, this is where we shine, albeit not Always easy to parent. Our Team is ran by women. And there’s a lot of us of tenacity and determination between us, who refuse to let this place fail. We are a preschool that supports children with all learning styles, and believe children should be able to thrive in any community of learning with our preconceived notions about their learning needs. We have a very nuerodiverse group of children, and we think that’s what makes us unique- wouldn’t the world be boring if everyone was the same?
