My brother, Mark, went to see a doctor last year because he noticed what looked like a tumor on his neck. The doctor refused to do a biopsy and said it was nothing to be conscerned with. My brother took his advice.
Here we are now, several months later, and after the tumor increased in size, my brother finally got a second opinion. Unfortunately, the diagnosis was stage 4 cancer. It started as lymphoma and moved in to his prostate and bone marrow.
He's had to close his construction business down due to the pain and sickness caused by the medications required just to buy a little more time.
He is a very proud man and has worked very hard his whole life. When asked what is the one thing he would to do before dying, his response was, "I've always wanted to see Yellowstone national park".
Our family is helping as much as possible but sadly, time is not on our side. If anyone can contribute anything at all to help make this small dream come true, I would be tremendously grateful.
