Steven Gallegos, An Amazing Person
Donation protected
As many of you may already know. Our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Friend and Mentor, Steven Gallegos, passed away October 1st, 2016. Quick synopsis about his current life, Steven was a Los Angeles County Children Social Worker. He was a firm believer in making an impact on young children’s lives. If you may not know, he was also a High School English teacher and volunteer to help children with reading deficiencies at Reading Partners in the Bay area and at Roosevelt Elementary School in Lawndale California. Steven genuinely cared about anyone’s personal well-being and health. For example, when a close friend was hospitalized, he dropped everything he was doing and was the first one to pay him a visit. Overall, he passionately enjoyed helping others in whatever way they needed assistance.
Helping others was the least of the impact Steven made on others. Steven was a family man first. He took care of his Grandmother from a very young age. You would find Steven riding his bike up and down Pico Rivera with medicine for his Grandmother. A few years after his Grandmother passed away, he went on to care for his Uncle. Also, Steven was an Uncle, himself, and took great lengths to fulfill his Uncle duties. He was the youngest Brother and managed to be there for all his Sisters at any time.
Furthermore, he always joked around and enjoyed making others smile. We can say that he was the, “life of the party”. He encouraged people to come out of their comfort zone and have fun. For example, he was always making harmless pranks on all of his friends. Additionally, he would make random comments and get laughs from people around him.
Steven was all so full of life, but unfortunately he left this world too soon. He may not have been the wealthiest person but he helped with words, knowledge, wisdom and presence. Steven deserves more than what we can repay for his kindness but one way we can honor Steven is with an honorable service and funeral. Please feel free to make a donation via this go fund me page. There’s plans on making fundraisers and other methods of raising necessary funds to carry this last act of honor for Steven. Shall you have any questions on other ways to help Steven, please contact Roy Barrientos at roy-[email redacted].
