Kaylie's 2nd time fighting Leukemia

Donation protected
Kaylie was diagnosed at age 4 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She was then treated and was on remission. In May 2016 she went for a routine follow-up, and was diagnosed for the second time with ALL. This news was very heart breaking and emotional for everyone. Kaylie took it the hardest, she couldn't understand why her again. She was admitted to the hospital right away to start treatment. After hitting her body very hard with chemotherapy she became very ill. Doctors and nurses where keeping a good eye on her. The doctor's decide to move Kaylie in ICU. Her blood pressure started to drop and other things started to become more complicated. Her lungs collapsed and she had pseudomonas in her lungs. Kaylie was becoming more and more weak. She couldn't breath on her own. The doctor's said we had to decide if we wanted Kaylie to be intubated. This news was very alarming and scary to both my husband and I. After 2 weeks she recovered and is moved out of ICU. After a week or 2 she's not eating and complaining of stomach pain. We later find out she has appendicitis then we find out she has typhlitis. With multiple fevers we end up in ICU again. After being in the hospital for months she finally is recovered and goes home, right before her 11th birthday in October. She's doing well at home until she had a seizure. I didn't know what a seizure was until that day. It was the worst experience in my life. Kaylie was not breathing, her face was purple while I tried performing CPR. I then noticed her arm had fallen from her side. I thought the worse! The ambulance took us to the hospital and was treated. A month later she is doing well and is discharged from the hospital right before thanksgiving. Kaylie was doing good until her next admission, which was to get admitted for a bone marrow, lumbar puncture and chemotherapy right after Christmas. During that admission she gets another episode of a seizure at the hospital. The chemotherapy that Kaylie had received made her heart beat over 200 beats per second, gave her a seizure and gave her blood pressure problems. Not what we were expecting!! Now its February 11th, 2017, here we are at City Of Hope were Kaylie will be getting a bone marrow transplant from her sister Klaudia. Klaudia is 8 years old and is a full match. Klaudia is feeling anxious and nervous as the day gets closer. Kaylie has received radiation for 4 days, 3 times a day and is doind well. Kaylie is receiving the last of her chemotherapy and waiting for the special day February 14th, 2017. All money raised will help us with all the medical bills and medication we are getting for Kaylie. And to help Kaylie in anything she might need a long her journey.
