My name is Luis Cruz and today is a very sad day for my friends and their families.
It's with a heavy heart that I bring this news to everyone. My best friend Abel Vargas has just lost his mother, Maria De Los Angeles.

Losing a mother is no easy task for anyone. They are the ones that bring us into this world, raise us, and protect us from anything that puts our life's at risk whether a physical danger or an emotional one. It's for every little thing they do that makes us cherish and love them unconditionally. To also have a mother who does both jobs of a mother and father is to have a superhero. She becomes the embodiment of a person who we look for when we don't know where to turn. This is a relationship we all know and the reason why we love them with no questions asked.
Maria was a phenomenal mom to Abel, Carmina, and Yuveri. She was the type of mom that loved her children despite anything that occurred and would support her kids to the very end. She lived with her kid's interest at heart and raised them to be loving individuals.
Maria was also known as the cake lady of the neighborhood and her cakes were to die for!
I am asking for any help anyone can give to help my best friend and his family prepare for the funeral. It is expensive to bury the ones we love let alone planning a wake. Anything helps and we appreciate your kindness and gratitude.
