David Joyner's MDS fund
Donation protected
In September of this year we learned that my Dad, David Joyner, had been diagnosed with a blood cancer known as MDS or pre-leukemia. He immediately began chemo to prepare his body for a stem cell transplant. Anyone who knows my dad knows that he is always the first to help anyone. In his 66 years he has served both Whitfield and Floyd counties in many ways. He servered as Council President and District Chariman for Boy Scouts of America, Board of Directors for Whitfield Chamber of Commerce, Dalton College Foundation board of trustees, Chairman of the Board for the United Way, Commadant of the local chapter of the Marine Corps League and has run Toys for Tots for the past several years. Beyond all of that, he is a loving husband and dedicated father and Papa. He is the rock of the Joyner family and depended upon for so much since my sister's untimely strokes 6 years ago. The process of the stem cell transplant will be very costly as well as take him and my mom away from their workplaces for several months at least. Any donation would be greatly appreciated and will go toward medical expenses. We appreciate all the support and prays and hope to one day be the survivor story and pay it forward.
