Madison Perez: A Road To Recovery

Donation protected
Madison Perez was recently diagnosed with preB acute lymphocytic leukemia. After a bone marrow biopsy and spinal tap, they found that the Leukemia had already taken over 92% of her spinal fluids and 22% of her blood. She is receiving blood transfusions regularly due to her low platelets, depleted white blood cell count and low hemoglobins. Because of her age, she has been categorized as "High Risk". She is a 14 year old Freshman at The Woodlands College Park High School who was looking forward to attending her first Homecoming dance in October. Her leukemia came suddenly. Now she will be spending the month with a very critical and intensive induction chemotherapy treatment to save her life. She will be pulled out of school for the remainder of the school year due to her low immune system and other risk factors. Madison's battle will be a long and difficult one. The doctors estimate that it will be a two year battle for her of regular chemotherapy treatment. Madison is the oldest daughter of Monica and Mario Perez. She has a little sister, Bella, who is in second grade. They are a tight nit family. She is my beloved niece and a very loved granddaughter to my parents, Cesar and Esther Aguirre. Madison is the second oldest of the grandkids and of course is extremely loved by us all. She is a quiet and shy girl, who once you get to know her can see her inner beauty and sweetness right away. She loves to play the flute and hanging out for movie nights with the family. Madison has her whole future ahead of her still and a big family who will be there for her.The financial demands for an illness such as leukemia is almost immediate. Travel to and from Texas Children's Hospital in the medical center from The Woodlands is costly. There is is gas, parking and daily food at 3 meals a day for the immediate family. Medical bills haven't even started to come in yet and the family is already feeling the financial strain. I ask that if you can, please donate to the family to help in the treatment and recovery of our beautiful Maddie. Any and every donation would be appreciated. God bless you and God bless our beautiful Madison.
