Austin turned 25 this year in March.
He is a decorated Navy Veteran and was a member of the Ceremonial Guard selected as one out of 1045 sailors graduating from basic training.
He spent 2 years at Arlington with the task of honourably burying his fellow soldiers and Veterans. After his discharge from the Navy , Austin returned home and started his life as a civilian which can be a difficult transition. He suffered from bouts of depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He is funny and his smile lights up a room and he is loved by his family in Ohio and Canada. On Saturday June 8, 2019 his life changed forever as he attempted suicide . He is currently still in a medically induced coma and the Trauma Doctors and Nurses are working to bring him out of the critical stages. The outlook for the future is still uncertain and until further tests are able to be done nothing is certain. Austin has family in Canada and Ohio and helping with the travel costs to visit and help with his healing and recovery is needed. Any help with expenses for my family is appreciated and prayers for his recovery are always welcome.
