Jordan's Extrordinary Journey

Oh, what a story I have for you! Meet Jordan Lee. He looks like your every day 15 year old, a 5'11 '& 175lb student athlete who is quite handsome. Far from it, except for the handsome part! Here is one unbelievable student & athlete! I have known Jordan for the past 9 years. From elementary school through middle school and now he is a freshman, with my son, at JO Combs High School, in San Tan Valley, Arizona.
This boy has talent written all over him, and he truly stands out. I really think my son is awesome, but this boy is well...just wow! Not only can he run fast, but his field vision is superb and his footwork is quick and nimble. He runs the 40 in 4.9 and a 100 yd in 11.4! His upperbody strength creates his path when any one wants to try to take him down simply by tackling him. I watched him hurdle 2 oppoaing players...at once! Yes, he loves that big gaping hole up the middle, but no one tackles him when he runs an end around No one catches him when he turns on those jets... no one! Here my friends, is a RB that has good football IQ and in my opinion, he is going somewhere! BUT he needs our help.
Who am I to judge this talented young man? I am just a single mom on the Combs Football Booster Club with a player of my own. I have ears and eyes, and I listen and see ! I hear Coaches talk about him, but more importantly, I hear Coaches from other teams try to "get him". I know of a Coach in another state that tried to talk to his mother, Melissa, after a game where he scored 8 touchdowns! He talked to her about Jordan's raw talent and how that would open up so many possibilities and opportunities for him. That particular coach was visiting his Arizona family with the opposing team! She told me she hears things like that all of the time. She is so sad that she cannot afford to get him to the next level. Can you help her help him?
So who is this Jordan Lee? He is quite the accomplished student His grades are consistantly outstanding!
His kindness & empathy are greater than any other student that I have seen, and I am old! He is soft spoken and very respectful, but explosive on the field . He would go out of his way to help someone in distress, or to pick up a piece of trash on campus. He stops to aplologize to the players he knocked down, and lends a hand to anyone who is already down, even if they are on the opposing team. He is the first player to get to the fundaising events, and the last to leave. Why? Because his mom is a single-mom who is raising 3 boys. She works hard She can not afford the football fees and equipment costs for one, let alone all three, so she arranges to " medic " games all over town in order to pay for her boys to be able to play football. She is always hustling from one boys game to another . I make fun of her when she rushes into the stadium because inevitably, she always misses JJs first touchdown ,since it is usually in the first few minutes of play. Please help her, please.
So why the $5000? Well Jordan was chosen to attend FBU's Top Gun Performers Showcase. This is invitation only! This event is being held on July 13- 17 in Rock Hill NC. A bunch of parents and I are trying desperately to raise funds for Melissa and JJ, to be able to get him to that next level. He always gets invited to these things but Melissa always has to say "No" because of the cost. JJ really wants to attend this one and I really want to help him.
We would be so grateful if you would consider a donation. Any amount would be so appreciated. Every little bit will help a very humble young man and his family. If you are unable to give even a few dollars, would you please consider sharing Jordan's story with your media friends? Just hit that share button! I know there are good hearted people out there , because you are my good hearted friends and family! We single moms and dads, are everywhere, and we know exactly what Melissa is going through. I also would like to also ask for prayers to keep all of our chilfren safe and healthy. Thank you and may God Bless you!
