Hey everyone! I've been asked by the USA Deaf Sports Federation (USADSF) to be the Taekwondo coach in Sofia, Bulgaria on July 23-August 5, 2013. Because the American Martial Arts Association for the Deaf has been decertified because of bad leadership who didn't file our packages, athletes and myself have received a late notice. As a result, there is no available funding support from the USADSF. I have to pay $1,800 to the USADSF for lodging, food, credentials, and gear. $100 for coach membership. Also, airfare is running $1500 and the USADSF will cover $550. So the total is $2850.

I will be getting a USADSF letter soon on my appointment. This is a fantastic opportunity to represent the USA, Taekwondo, and the deaf community. By 2014, I will already have a new organization called USA Deaf Taekwondo that will be fundraising and seeking sponsorship for future Deaflympics Taekwondo athletes in 2017.
