Help Abby graduate from CCHS
Donation protected
I started this page in frustration. How could I help? What could I do to somehow express to Sue, Chuck and Abby how much they mean to me? Apparently I was not alone in my need to express love, concern and empathy. The many people whose hearts they have touched through the years reacted the same way and restored my faith in human kindness.
Through your generosity and several anonymous donations directly to LCCHS Abby will be able to finish what she started! Her high school tuition is covered! While I feel this is a huge success and a heavy burden lifted from Sue and Chuck, college is still on the horizon. For that reason I have decided to keep the page active.
This young lady has been dealt a huge blow to her future. She needs to be able to finish her high school education from the school she has attended since she was a freshman. Her parents have always put her first making sacrifices so that she can obtain a good education. Her dad has worked 2 jobs and her mom has done everything possible to see to it that her future was secure.
This year they were dealt a devastating blow to that promising future. Abby's dad was diagnosed with a disease that has robbed him of a future. In a very short time he was forced to leave BOTH jobs and needs constant care. This will not get better. It is a rapid decline.
Forced to cope with the news Abby was going to be pulled from her high school in her senior year to attend a public school. They were advised not to do so by several counselors as she would then have no ranking for college applications.
The only thing this young lady has to look forward to is her senior year and the prospect of a college education.
