It is with deep sadness that we share the loss of Kelton and Natalie's sweet baby boy Beckham Howell Cram. Natalie and Kelton were beyond excited when they found out they were expecting nine months ago. This was something they had looked forward to for some time. To grow their families together and combine the joy they each find in parenting with each other.
Beckham was born full term on Spetember 27, 2016. He was the picture of perfect health. They spent a blissful 2 days together before finding complications that kept them in the hospital rather than leaving that day.
Beckham was born with an underdeveloped intestinal tract. This is a common problem in many premature babies. However, with Beckham being full term and otherwise completely healthy, none of the symptoms or signs were noticed. As he spent his first few days eating, instead of growing and becoming stronger, the intestines were breaking down and causing severe infection as they were not ready to perform those functions.
Unfortunately, the day was spent with many emotional ups and downs. After surgery removing his entire large intestine, doctors were hopeful he would make a full recovery. However, his body wasn't up for the challenge and the infection rapidly spread attacking other vital organs.
He passed peacfully in his daddy's arms yesterday afternoon.
Coming home to an empty home has been heart wrenching for this family. They are hanging onto their faith in God and their knoweldge of His plan.
They have not emotionally been ready to share their story, but have been deeply touched and are so grateful for every text, voicemail, and prayer sent.
If you can, they would greatly appeciate help with the costs of a memorial service, and burial for their sweet baby boy.
