Rents too high, Hear Our Cry!
Hundreds, no thousands of people on the Peninsula have been and are being forced out of their apartments due to the ridiculously skyrocketing rents. We are having a nonviolent march against the exorbitant rents on the Peninsula, and the concurrent displacement of families. This is affecting everyone…teachers, police officers, fire fighters and especially hard working but economically poor families. Our march will occur on October 21st, 2016. Marchers will gather in front of the Siena Youth Center (2625 Marlborough Ave, Redwood City, CA 94063) at 4:30pm for a briefing and will march from 5:00-7:15pm. This is the first of a series of marches.
Will you please help us defray the cost of the march. We need to purchase signage announcing our just cause! We need to provide some water for the marchers. We hope also to help families who are being displaced!
