Colonial Hills Christian School

Donation protected
The faculty, staff and leaders of Colonial Hills Christian School are seeking your support. As we devote to make a difference in our students lives, may we ask for your assistance. We are asking you to prayfully consider making a donation to our school.  The funds that we raise will go toward operational expenses, improvement projects and general support of our school.  With your help we can continue to focus on our #1 goal which is the education of our students.  We are called to educate and minister to each student and their families.

CHCS is the oldest private Christian schools in the state of Georgia.  We were established in 1959 in East Point, GA.  By 1965, the school enrollment grew from 32 students to 140. In 1969 the school advanced by adding a Junior High program.  In the fall of 1973, we increased our numbers by adding high school.  In 1993, CHCS moved to Lithia Springs and took over Gospel Light Christian Academy.  K4-5th grades were maintained at the Douglas County location.  The 6th  - 12th grades were bussed to the East Point location.  In the spring of 1995 the facilities were sold, and Colonial Hills Baptist Church and Christian School moved all operations to the Douglas County location.  During that school year, construction started on a new educational building which is our elementary building.  By 2001, we were filled to capacity so planning began for a new educational building.   In the fall of 2003, we began construction on a large three-story educational building which would allow us to expand our student body to around 750.  In 2004, we dedicated the Van Gorder Educational center, a 38,000 sq. ft. building, to house our middle school and high school as well as a cafeteria, computer lab, art room, athletic facilities, performing arts center, and offices.  In August of 2012 we expanded our program to include K3 where we teach the Abeka curriculum.  This is a full day program and runs the same as our school year calendar. When the ecomony declined in 2005, many of our families struggled, hence our enrollment decreased.  Over the past few years enrollment has continued to decline and the school has gotten smaller.  However, our main goal is to continue to make a difference in the lives of children and their families.  Our desire is to continue to be a successful school.  We have many dedicated Christian teachers and faculty who love the Lord and believe that our school will flourish again.

Thank you in advance for your support.
