Shelley's lost leg fund
Donation protected
Shelley is a warm hearted individual who has helped others and particularly animals all of her life. She had to have both knees replaced a few years ago. After 2 years of physiotherapy she took on a job as a school bus driver as her full time job was no longer attainable. She loved the kids and they loved her. She also took in cats from a cousin who passed away too soon, and the two dogs in the picture from friends whose marriage split up. Unfortunately one of her replacement knees gave her problems and she fell in August and her knee bent the wrong way 90 degrees. Shelley is a single woman with the biggest heart I know. Due to the fall, she cut her main artery in her leg and had to have the leg amputated just below the torso. All of her friends have chipped in as much as we could to help her pay her mortgage and other bills but she will be in a rehabilitation home for months before she can even think about receiving a prosthetic leg if she is capable. The bills still need to be paid and her home will need to be renovated to accomodate a wheel chair. Shelley has always taken care of so many other people and now she needs help - today. Any help that you are able to give will be put towards household and medical bills and eventually either a home renovation or relocation expenses. If by chance there are any extra funds, they will be donated to the War Amps to help out others who may have lost a limb.
This means a lot to me because I know how much Shelley has given others and I wish that I could give to her, but I feel that if I can in some small way help her out - with your help too of course, then maybe we can put a smile back on her face and possibly get her to walk again!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
