Denise Chairez Funeral Fund

Hi, my name is Daisy Martinez. My cousin Denise passed away recently from a long battle with Muscular Dystrophy. She passed away in her sleep a couple of nights ago and it was unexpected for our family.  We are asking for assistance to help pay for the funeral expenses. 

Our Denise was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece and cousin. We will miss her witty sense of humor, straightforwardness and companionship. 

Denise was special needs but that didn't stop her from enjoying life. She was confined to a wheelchair but was still able to capture the hearts and love of those around her.  She enjoyed talking politics, reading Harry Potter books, playing videogames, scifi, and watching movies with her family.  

She spent a good portion of the past year in and out of the hospital, but she was always a fighter and constantly beating the odds. Unfortunately, her body wasn't able to fight any longer, and she left us in her sleep on September 28th. We just hope and pray she didn't suffer as she left us.    She will be sorely missed now that she is in a better place.

Denise, we admire your resilience, strength and persistence to live. You will be in our hearts forever. 

Her funeral is set for Thursday, October 6th.  All funds will go towards her service. Any contributions will be greatly appreciated by our family!
