As announced on November 12th at the alumni dinner, we are making our final push for this campaign. From now until midnight on Saturday November 19th your contributions will help us move forward toward our goal. As an added incentive, the person who contributes the greatest amount in excess of $100 during this time frame will receive the framed and matted photo depicted above.
Please help Tammy and Bill during this most difficult time, and remember every donation matters.

Our dear IUPMB family members Bill Menk and Tammy Henry Menk (1980-83) need us! Tammy has been suffering from a rare disease called Von Hippel-Lindau disease. Bill explains their situation: "Tam will be recovering from kidney surgery. She's having the last bit of her last remaining kidney removed due to cancer. She has a rare disease called VHL, or Von Hippel-Lindau disease. She's had is since like 1990. It causes tumors to grow in the body. She has been in clinical trials for everything from chemo to new surgery techniques at the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. For over 20 years, countless surgeries there and such have drained us both emotionally and financially, and now she's finally on a transplant list. She's had tumors removed from her carotid, eyes, spine, and both kidneys. But she's the trooper. I'm just here for her. I don't think we will be there (at the IUPMB reunion), but we have fond memories of good days at IUP and marching, and meeting each other, on the field... Please pass on our blessings to everyone in attendance. I'll look forward to seeing all the pics on FB." Bill and Tammy's many friends have united to create this gofundme to help with their mounting medical costs. Please consider making a donation. Many thanks for your kind generosity.Read more about Von Hippel-Lindau at: http://www.cancer.net/cancer-types/von-hippel-lindau-syndrome
