Ken Zimmerman learned about giving and helping others at an early age. As a child he attended market with his parents and often carried the customers' purchases to their home. Later he mowed lawns and helped neighbors. Ken coninued to serve others during his years at Stauffers of Kissel Hill, Dutch Valley, Call of the North Gift Shop and Keagy's Produce. He has blessed others with his service, warm smile, kind words, and monitary help for those in needs.
The time has come for Ken and Pam to be receivers. This is a very humbling experience for them. Ken has spent several months in the hospital dealing with congestive heart failure. In the past, he would bounce back after a brief stay in the hospital. Not this time. His heart function quickly deteriated at the end of August. Ken was transferred to Hershey Medical Center with end stage kidney and liver function. Quickly IV meds were given to reverse the kidney and liver decline. Ken was evaluated for a LVAD and had the surgery Thursday September 15, 2016. The surgery went well, but Ken was extremely critical the next 36-48 hours and went back to the OR 3 more times. Now he is slowly getting stronger. Pam has been by his side everyday and not able to work in months.
Ken and Pam face a new life with a LVAD and feel so blessed to be given a second chance at life and to fulfill the destiny the Lord has for them. Medical and daily bills continue to mount. We as family wanted to set up a medical fund to help lessen the burden. Will you help Ken and Pam and give as the Lord leads and share with others. Many are praying, calling, and sending cards of encouragement. We daily feel the love of others and are so grateful! God Bless you all!
