My son and daughter-in-law, Myles and Kat Nickels, after six rounds of IUI (resulting in an ectopic pregnancy) and one round of IVF (that resulted in a miscarriage) were thrilled to find out that they had finally conceived a child.  Sadly, the week after finding out they were having a baby girl, they were given the news that their daughter is missing both kidneys, bladder, and amniotic fluid.  This diagnosis carries a zero percent survival rate. 

They will be welcoming their baby girl, Adeline Legend Nickels, into the world in a few weeks.  They will enjoy whatever time they are given with Adeline, whether it be one minute or one day, before they lay her to rest.

Myles was recently laid off of his job in the oilfield industry.  The expenses for Kat’s medical care and their daughter’s funeral expenses will be significant.
