My name is Andrew Ross and some of my best friends, Jen & Daniel Maybee are having a tough time. They brought a beautiful baby, Ella Jean, into this world on August 29th, 2011, and I've been lucky enough to watch her blossom into a smart, spunky, fun-loving, and kind-spirited kid. It's no surprise she ended up being so awesome if you have ever met her parents.
Earlier this week I received one of the hardest phone calls of my life, when Daniel called to inform me that Ella had been diagnosed with pre-b acute lymphoblastic leukemia. I have never felt so stopped in my tracks. If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting Ella, you know that she is so full of love and life it seemed there was no way something like this could happen to such a happy girl.
I'm starting this gofundme to help raise money for Daniel, Jen, and Ella. Their deductible is a hefty $5,000 that must be paid each calendar year in order to have hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of treatment covered by insurance. Jen and Daniel have had to put their professional lives on hold in order to focus on their daughter's medical needs which makes day-to-day expenses very tight as well. That's where the second $5,000 comes in.
This campaign is tough. No one wants to ask for money. But, I felt that this is the best way to assist them in their time of need so that they can focus on their sweet Ella and not on bills. If you are able to chip in even a few bucks, no amount is too little and it would mean the world to them.
Let's all get together and support our friends so they can focus all their attention on Ella & kicking cancers butt! With a strong community of friends and family standing behind her, she is destined to overcome, but for now, the financial assistance will really help to ease the stress and allow Jen and Daniel to focus on what is really important.
