On Sept 26th, 2016 the lives of six year old London, four year old Damon and nearly 2 year old Silas were changed forever.  Zack Straughan was their dad, their hero, their knight in shining armor, was savagely beaten and succumbed to his injuries in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  On behalf of my dear friends Celine & Darrell Freed, the grandparents of London, Damon and Silas, we have started this campaign. They are devastated to think that these beautiful souls will not know the comfort and support of having a dad in their lives.  Their  daughter Kirstie was with Zack for 8 years and together they had three beautiful children.  We are thankful for the outpouring of love and support you have shown Kirstie and her beautiful children.  We also know full well that raising a family alone is a very difficult task.  Your generosity and support through this page will allow their only living parent to take the time she needs to support her children through this most difficult time.  Any funds raised will be used to help the family meet daily living expenses until they can figure out a new normal, if ever.  Any surplus will be placed in trust for London, Damon and Silas’ education.  These children meant the world to their father and we know that he would only want the very best for his kids.  They were his light and now they have to face an uncertain future without their father in it.
