Bailey's medical costs
If you've been following this fundraiser, you probably saw that we got Bailey's eye surgery on the 20th funded and it went off without a hitch. He was doing real well, stellar start to recovery, no complications. Seeing him with clear eyes LOOKING at me nearly made me dizzy with relief.
And then at 10pm the 21st, just a couple hours after getting this really good prognosis, he got spooked by a large dog, and in the scuffle, he luxated his left hip.
This morning we rushed him to his primary vet for assessment and they attempted a manual reduction to set his hip and place his leg in a sling.
It didn't take. He's going to need surgery.
I am... devastated. The whiplash has left me so exhausted I'm honestly not able to fully process things at the moment. I'm getting over surgery myself, I still have staples in my HEAD, Bailey hasn't even had the chance to get his cone off, and now... this.
I'm operating on the absolute need to make my dog be okay again. That's the only thing keeping me moving right now. I don't have anything clever to add. It just... is.
