My name is Cipriano Rivera, Jr. I am humbly asking for your help to raise funds for my dad to receive a special treatment in San Diego, CA. My dad is in stage four of five with Parkinson’s disease. On Tuesday, September 27, my dad, my mom and I were informed by his doctor that it was time to put dad on hospice care. My dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2004. In the last month he went from living a normal self-sufficient life to being confined to a wheelchair and not being able to care for himself.

The treatment that we are raising funds for is for him to receive stem cell treatment at Stemgenex (https://stemgenex.com/).  The stem cells will be taken from HIS OWN BODY, and then injected into areas to help repair damage caused by the Parkinson’s.

Without this treatment my dad faces a few months of a slow, painful and agonizing deterioration. He will not pass away from Parkinson’s, but from his inability to control his throat. He will not be able to eat, drink, speak, take his medications or swallow. Food, liquids, and medications will go down into his lungs and he will not have any control over this slow process.

I have scheduled the procedure for my dad on October 13, 2016, believing that the necessary funds will be raised and he will receive this life saving treatment.

My father is my hero. Without his example, I would not be the husband and father that I am today. Without all of his sacrifices, I would not be a teacher. He means the world to his grandchildren and has been married to my mom for almost fifty years.
