Melrose's Fight Against Cancer

This past July, our sweet mom was diagnosed with stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, a common type of breast cancer. Luckily, we caught it early enough to begin tests and treatment immediately. Today marks her first of 6 sessions of an 18 week long chemotherapy treatment plan. Following chemo, mom will undergo a lumpectomy to remove any remains of the tumor and surrounding abnormal tissue.

During this time, my mom's body will require her to take some time off from work. Although insurance will cover most of her medical expenses, we all know that it is never enough. Donating whatever amount your heart desires will alleviate a tremendous amount of financial burden off my family during this tough time.

She is our mom, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Everything helps. Big or small. If you cannot offer a donation, we ask that you pray for my mom. We are firm believers in the power of prayer. Pray that God uses the doctors and medical staff as knowledgeable tools in performing the best treatment for my mom. Pray that the chemo works its purpose in destroying the cancer cells. Pray for my mom's strength so that she can manage any side effects from the chemo or surgery. Pray that her recovery goes well and that her fight and her victory over cancer is another testimony of God's healing work.
